Went to Sundance for the Premier of "Sound City" Documentary. Here is a link for the trailer: Sound City Trailer that my friend Hillary Hanak was the Gaffer on and was interviewed : Hillary's interview and what a cute pic of her....and I sat in front of Stevie Nicks.
Next we went to the Sound City Players Concert with all the rock legends from the Documentary all wrote original new songs with Dave and played a handful of their old songs. Here this explains it better then I can, all I know was I was in heaven. Sound City Concert "Bucket list, check," said the Foo Fighters frontman of his all-star band, which included John Fogerty, Stevie Nicks, Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic, Slipknot's Corey Taylor and Rage Against the Machine drummer Brad Wilk, among others. They went non-stop for 5 hours.
The next day we slept in (naturally) before we headed out to salt lake city. We saw the Shorts program (which included a short of "Whiplash" and Emanuel and the Truth about Fish" Very good movie. The next day we did some relaxing in a crater with hot mineral water...then saw the movie "Mud" Another great movie...does Sundance ever show duds? Oh yes, we saw Crystal Fairy. Very inspiring to see all these great movies.
